STATUE - "CHILD'S TOUCH" - 10" HIGH

There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of versions of statues of the Blessed Mother holding her Son, Jesus. But this rendition is unique in two ways.

First is the incredibly beautiful act of Baby Jesus reaching up to tenderly touch His mother's face. It's enough to bring a tear to your eye.

The second is the color of Mary's garment. While we are all used to seeing Mary dressed in blue and white, which brings heaven to mind, this dress and mantle are in colors reminiscent of the desert and sands of Egypt and the Holy Land.

What a lovely depiction of what was surely one of the most wonderful periods of her entire life.
