Our Lady of Guadalupe Statue - 11.25"H

Our Lady of Guadalupe Statue - 11.25"H

In 1531, Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to a Mexican peasant named Juan Diego. She placed roses (it was winter) on his cloak, to take to the archbishop to convince him that her apparition was real. When Juan Diego opened his cloak (the tilma) in the presence of the archbishop, the roses fell out. Left behind on the flimsy garment was the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe that exists to this day - 489 years later. It is an incredible miracle!

Oh, and she also caused the conversion of 9 million Aztecs in the following seven years. No one has ever been able to explain this phenomenon.

On July 31, 2002, the Mexican peasant became Saint Juan Diego.

Material: resin/stone mix.
