SCAPULAR - ST PHILOMENA

There is something unique about this very interesting scapular. You can see that the images on each badge are not the usual scapular images. This scapular dedicated to St Philomena has her image on one piece. But it's the second one that is so extraordinary.

The second badge depicts St Philomena with two important persons in her life. They are St John Vianney (the Cure of Ars) and Venerable Pauline Jaricot.

St John Vianney was the spiritual director of Venerable Pauline Jaricot for many years. And Venerable Pauline became very ill on a pilgrimage on August 10, 1835 and was healed by St Philomena. It's all an amazing story.

The best news is that Pope Francis, on May 26, 2020,  recognized a miracle attributed to Venerable Jaricot's intercession. The path is now clear for her to be beatified.

This is a true brown scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and carries with its proper use all the same promises and benefits that are made with the scapulars that are more familiar to most of us.
