Demian is the third of five children. His father is alive. His mother is also alive and is too ill to raise Demian as well as his siblings. His parents are too poor to take care of Demian and his siblings.

Demian is a Roman Catholic. He has no physical disabilities, and is physically fit and adapting to his new environment well. He likes to participate in football.
