In addition to the “newsworthy” problems, there are many others that need to be addressed, not the least of which is what people believe regarding how they will achieve salvation. For those wanting only the easy way out, there is a spiritual smugness that says no one has to work too hard to receive this greatest of all graces. Consequently, it is politically incorrect to talk about Hell or mention sin. This God is far too merciful to send anyone to Hell. There is a second group, (those to whom this dubious attitude is seriously flawed), who still believes that commitment to Jesus and His laws, along with a good dose of suffering, is the only way to achieve eternal life. We need strong leaders to help us navigate through these theological land mines, more in these days than ever, yet what is happening to our leadership? Where do they stand on this and so many other issues like the liturgy, the Holy Father, inclusive language, abortion, celibacy, contraception, and dozens more? How are we to know? For as many who stand with the Church, there are as many (or more) who stand on the other side of the Great Divide. Which way is correct? This book can help you decide. Great Divide is still about encouraging you to become a saint. It will help you understand which side offers you the better odds of finding yourself in heaven - the one that is obedient to the Holy Father, or the one which would like to revise most everything for which this Church has stood for 2000 years. There are definitely two sides. Only you can choose on which side of this Great Divide you stand.
